Description
Please remove automake from the build and replace with standard autoconf/configure style build process similar to postgresql.

all autotool src files was moved to autotool directory.
configure script + necessary files commited.
so now you have to do it like in all other OS projects:
./configure
make
make install
no need to make ./prepare.sh
is it ok ?
